Even if you are unsure what you need or how you feel, an integrative therapy session is a good step towards finding out what's going on for you. So what happens in a session? For some people it's about talking... being coached or engaging in therapeutic dialogue with your wellbeing practitioner to find clarity and direction. This involves a willingness to share what is happening for you and to benefit from the reflective listening skills of the practitioner to uncover deep beliefs and/or expectations that may be shaping your behaviour. It is a way to connect to your own truth - how you really feel. And this awareness gives you the power to choose - whether you want to continue with the status quo or create positive change. Either way, the result is greater self awareness. For other people, allowing the body to express what's going on through body therapy can be an equally rewarding experience, sometimes more so than use purely of dialogue. This can be helpful to bypass the judgment from our mind and access our feelings or stored beliefs more directly, or to shift emotional holding patterns & beliefs. For instance, holistic pulsing can provide the body with a "language" (or means of expression) and allow awareness of the "body-mind". Of course, a combination of these approaches is also available and for everyone, the flow of your session is based on what feels right for you at the time. When you desire clarity, understanding of your own truth, positive action, greater awareness, change on some level....an integrative therapy session is a supportive catalyst for your journey.
